Repolling recommended at 25 polling centres in C'garh

Raipur, Nov 15 (UNI) The state electoral officer has recommended repolling in 25 polling centres in the Bastar division, where Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were looted and widespread violence occurred during the first phase of polling during Chhattisgarh Assembly polls yesterday.

State Electoral Officer Alok Shukla said EVMs had been looted from 18 polling centres during the first phase of polling, while polling parties could not reach at four places. Besides, naxals overpowered two polling centres and did not allow polling.

Repolling was recommended in Kuper polling centre because the procedure for polling was not followed.
