Opposition convened all-party meet in Assam

Guwahati, Nov 15 (UNI) An Opposition all-party meeting to discuss the aftermath of serial blasts and the progress of investigations was held at the Assam secretariat here today.

The state's main Opposition party, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), had convened the meeting which was attended by representatives of various parties, including BJP, CPI and CPI (M).

The meeting discussed the situation in the state in the aftermath of the October 30 serial blasts. It also discussed the progress in investigations in identifying the forces behind the blasts. Another all-party meeting was held earlier in the week which was convened by the government.The earlier meeting had already resolved to seek a CBI enquiry into the blasts, with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who attended the meet, agreeing to approach the central investigating body.
