NTRUHS to conduct supplementary MBBS exam from Dec 22
Vijayawada, Nov 15 (UNI) Acting on the orders passed by the Supreme Court, the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences will conduct a special supplementary examination from Dec 22 to 30 for the students who appeared but failed in the first year of MBBS examination in September and October 2006.
NTRUHS Registrar Dr T Venugopal Rao in a press release here said the practical examination would commence from January 8, 2009.
He said the details of the eligible candidates and exam schedule had been sent to the respective principals of the Medical colleges.
The apex court in its judgement on October 22 last month upheld the judgement of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice's bench that the revaluation/reverification done was invalid.
The Court further ordered to conduct a special supplementary examination for all those students who appeared in the examination but failed and could not clear the first year MBBS examination.
Earlier, the first year MBBS students who failed in the examination had moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court citing irregularities in the revaluation/reverification process taken up by the University officials.
