Bhopal, Nov 15 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee today said that the state's denizens ''simply cannot wait'' to get rid of the misrule of the Bharatiya Janata Party regime that witnessed three chief ministers.

''Corruption has seeped into this government's roots and complaints were registered against Chief Minister (Shivraj Singh Chouhan) and several ministers by the Lokayukta,'' Congress state Vice-President and former minister Balkavi Bairagi told reporters here.

Alleging that the regime failed on all fronts, he added that no fresh industry was set up in the state despite several global meets.

Mr Bairagi claimed that the Congress would secure a majority by dethroning the ''corrupt'' BJP.

He denied the BJP claim that India's Moon mission was envisaged by then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. ''In fact, it was the brainchild of first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru but the BJP is taking the credit. Then they should have given credit to Indira Gandhi for Pokhran II,'' he quipped.
