More developments occurred in BJP rule: Tomar
Ashoknagar, MP, Nov 15 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar has said more development was carried out during the five-year-rule of the BJP than that during the 50-year-rule of the Congress.
Mr Tomar made the statement while addressing a public meeting in Chanderi assembly constituency here yesterday.
He alleged that the Centre was supplying less power to Madhya Pradesh in order to tarnish the image of the BJP Government.
Commenting upon the development that took place during the BJP rule, he said the budget of the Public Works Department had been increased from Rs 500 crore in the Digvijay Singh rule to Rs 2,000 crore in the BJP rule.
Claiming that irrigation department was at the verge of closure during former Congress rule, he said the BJP Government had laid a network of canals across the state.
Referring to power production, Mr Tomar said the Congress generated 2,900 MW power while the BJP produced 3,150 MW electricity.
