Koirala blames Maoists for delaying drafting Constitution
Kathmandu, Nov 15 (UNI) Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has accused the Maoists of delaying drafting the new Constitution.
Addressing a public gathering at the southern city Birgunj, Mr Koirala said cooperation of all political parties and other stakeholders would be essential to make sure that the new Constitution is written within the stipulated time.
Mr Koirala said his party would now focus on drafting the statute ''because the Maoists are not serious about this.'' ''Peace and stability are important for the Constitution drafting and our neighbouring countries, India and China also want to see peace and stability established in the country,'' he added.
Thousands of people have gathered at the national revival campaign of the NC.
