Kashmir university and board examinations postponed due to snow

Srinagar, Nov 15 (UNI) All the under and post graduate examinations of the Kashmir University (KU) and State Board of School Education (SBSE) for today and tomorrow have been postponed due to snow.

A spokesman of the KU said due to unprecedented snowfall in the Kashmir valley, it was decided to postpone all under and post graduate examinations which were scheduled to be held today and tomorrow.

The next date of examinations would be announced later, he said.

Similarly, the eighth, ninth and tenth class examinations today and tomorrow have also been postponed in view of the snowfall and cold.

Official sources said attendance in majority of the educational institutions, including private schools, was also very lean as compared to other days.

Most parents decided not to send their children to school, where there were no arrangement for heating.
