EC Observer removed for misconduct
Bhopal, Nov 15 (UNI) The Election Commission has removed its Observer Harbaksh Singh posted in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh for gross misconduct, official sources said today.
Dr Singh, the 1981 batch Haryana cadre officer, allegedly created a rumpus in an inebriated condition at a rest house in Morena on Thursday night, the sources said, adding he also misbehaved with officials on election duty.
A report from Morena said District Collector M K Agrawal declined to comment on the incident though he confirmed removal of the Observer for Dimni constituency.
Polling in all 230 constituencies in the state is scheduled in a single phase on Novermber 27, while counting will take place on December 8.
