BOT concept necessary to carry developmental works: Bhujbal

Kolhapur, Nov 15 (UNI) Stressing that build, operate and transfer (BOT) concept is necessary to carry out developmental works in the state, Maharashtra public works department (PWD) minister Chhagan Bhujbal today said the roads in the state should be constructed on BOT basis.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Bhujbal said the state government does not have sufficient funds to carry out works in all the sections of the state.

The opposition to BOT means stalling of all developmental works.

Therefore, everyone must cooperate with the state government, he said.

Admitting that there are potholes on the roads, Mr Bhujbal said the potholes would be filled on priority basis.

He, however, denied to comment on any political issue.
