Blast damages pharmaceutical unit
Shimla, Nov 15 (UNI) A pharmaceutical unit was badly damaged by a chemical blast at Batolikalan in Brotiwala Industrial area of district Solan, 110 kms from here, last night.
SHO Brotiwala, Raghubir Singh told UNI that the blast reportedly occurred at 2230 hrs in a unit of DMH Laboratory when there was nobody in the building.
He said that preliminary enquiry indicated that a chemical substance used for medicine had produced an explosive gas, which rocked the entire building.
Police teams are investigating the matter to ascertain exact cause of the blast.
