Accord with Singapore on teachers, nursing student exchange
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 15 (UNI) Kerala has concluded an agreement with Singapore on exchange of teachers and students in government-run nursing colleges in the state and Singapore.
A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting between Kerala Health Minister P K Sreemathy and her Singapore counterpart Khaw Boon Wan during the former's visit to that country recently, an official press release said here today.
The exchange programme would be implemented and subjected to the approval of the Medical Council of India.
It was also agreed to allow those, who had completed B Sc nursing course from government nursing colleges in the state to work in Singapore.
Nurses from other countries had to pass a special examination in Singapore for working in government hospitals there earlier.
