642 enter fray in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Nov 15 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot (Sardarpura-Congress), former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's son-in-law and Health Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi (Vidhyadharnagar-BJP), Tourism Minister Devisingh Bhati (Kolayat-BJP) were among the 642 candidates who entered the fray on the penultimate day today from various constituencies for the December 4 Assembly elections in Rajasthan.
With this, the total number of contestants in the 200 Assembly segments in the state has gone up to 1,108, an Election Office spokesman said.
The filing of nomination was scheduled to close on Monday evening, he said.
