2 hardcore CPI(Maoists) killed in gang rivalry
Latehar, Nov 15 (UNI) Two hardcore Maoists were gunned down by the ultras of Tritiya Prastuti Committee(TPC) near Catholic Church at Ranchi-Chatra main road under Balumath police station area today.
Those killed were a self-styled zonal and a sub-zonal commander of the proscribed CPI(Maoist).
Superintendent of Police Ravikant Dhan said the ultras, identified as Lakhan Mahto and Shankar Ganjhu, were involved in naxal operations in the area.
About six cases were lodged against them in Balumath police station of the district, Mr Dhan said.
The TPC rebels had left a pamphlet taking responsibility for the killing, he added.
