2 Delhiites injured due to snowfall in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 16 (UNI) Two Delhi residents were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
The sources said the victims' vehicle skidded off the road at Sangam in Anantnag district on Srinagar-Jammu national highway. The injured, who were identified as Yeshpal Sharma, son of Ram Sharma, and Ravi Kumar Paul, son of Ram Kund Paul, were admitted to hospital.
In another incident, a branch of an old Chinar tree fell on the roof top of the house of Manzoor Ahmad Baba at Devi Angan Hawal in the outskirts of the city due to snowfall. The house was damaged, they said, adding that the occupants escaped unhurt.
Meanwhile, about a dozen animals, including five cows, one ox and other animals, were roasted alive when fire broke out in the house of one Mohammad Ismail at Nowagabra Karnah in the frontier district of Kupwara.
