16 security personnel ill after having contaminated food

Hardoi, Nov 15 (UNI) Sixteen security personnel fell ill after reportedly consuming adulterated food during election duty in Hardoi assembly by-poll today.

According to official sources, the sick comprised 12 policemen and four homeguards. They were made ill after consuming food, which was arranged by the district administration through a mess in Kotwali (dehat) area.

The ailing were admitted to district hospital, where the quartet homeguards were discharged.
