UP district to get first 'Mahila Thana' soon

Gonda, Nov 14 (UNI) The district administration today gave its nod for the setup of first 'Mahila Thana.' According to sources, the Mahila Thana would comprise a Station House Officer, two head constables and 15 constables.

The need of the police station for women was being felt due to an increase in the crime rate from the last few years.

The location for the Mahila Thana was, however, being decided.
