Spencer's ties up with US apparel brand

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) Spencer's, the country's leading retail chain, has tied up with US-based apparel brand Beverly Hills Polo Club (BHPC) to launch the international collection for the Indian youths in 66 cities.

''Fashion has been a significant segment in the evolution of Indian retail industry and at present, it contributes 10 per cent to the company's revenue and is expected to increase to 25-30 per cent in the coming years with this tie up,'' parent company RPG enterprises Vice Chairman Sanjiv Goenka told reporters here.

Talking about the multi-national brands investing in Indian market, he said, ''It was apparel that led multi-national brands to explore and invest in the Indian market, which set the ball rolling towards organised retailing.'' The BHPC's fall/winter collection to be available in Spencer's stores comprises polo t-shirts, sweat shirts and sweat pants, casual shirts and trousers for both men and women, priced at Rs 399 onwards.
