Revenue clerk arrested in bribery case

Siwan, Nov 14 (UNI) A revenue clerk was today arrested while he was receiving Rs 1200 as bribe from a villager to favour him in land dispute case at Barharia circle in the district.

Official sources said sleuths of state vigilance bureau caught red handed Revenue clerk Kanhaiya Prasad alias Kanhaiya Bhagat when he was receiving the amount from Birendra Kumar to favour him in a land dispute case.

''The arrested employee is being interrogated intensely,'' sources said adding he would be produced before the special vigilance court.
