Nomadic tribes organise morcha
Nashik, Nov 14 (UNI) The Maharashtra Nomadic Tribes and Vimukta Jatis Sangh (MNTVJS) today organised a 'morcha' here, to press for their pending demands.
The 'Bombabomb Morcha', led by founder general secretary of the organisation G G Chavan, started from Adgaon naka area of the city and culminated in front of the collectorate, after passing through variuos areas of the city. As many as 2,000 people from various Nomadic Tribes participated in the morcha.
The protestors were demanding for implementation of the Pardhi rehabilitation scheme in various districts of the state, homes for the nomadic tribes, handing over the rehabilitation responsibility of the Pardhi community to the centre, special act for education of the people, special financial planning by the Union Government and less police harassment.
They later submitted a memorandum of demands to the Collector to convey the message to Chief Minister and Prime Minister.
