Hindu outfits being implicated: Raghunandan Sharma
Bhopal, Nov 14 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghunandan Sharma today said the Congress is trying to implicate Hindu outfits in Malegaon blast case in order to garner Muslim votes during assembly polls in some states.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Sharma pointed out that the first blast occurred in Malegaon in September 2006. The whole matter was resolved on September 22, 2006 and the case was handed over to the CBI. A chargesheet was submitted in the matter on December 21, 2006.
He wanted the Centre to explain the reason behind no progress in the case. He said the Anti-Terrorism Squad head was removed and shifted as Railway police head although he was investigating the case successfully.
No narco test or other tests would have been required for resolving this case. He wondered why so much was being done at such a large scale in connection with 2008 Malegaon blast.
He said he knew Sadhvi Pragya Thakur personally and describing her has terrorist was inappropriate.
Mr Sharma said army has maligned for the first time in the history of the country. Secret investigation was carried out in case of suspicion. However, for the first time, the case was handed over to police officials publicly.
He suspected that everything would continue till December 4 since polling would be held in Rajasthan on December 5.
