Advanced technology solution for food
Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Food and processing industries secretary Ashok Sinha today called for application of better technologies, be it in packaging or processing, to meet the demands of the ever-changing consumer needs.
Addressing the Confederation of Indian Industry's Food and Bevereage Exhibition here, Mr Sinha said the exhibition is an essential support to reach the objectives of reducing wastage, ensuring remunerative prices for producers, generation of employment, display of new products and timely delivery of reasonably priced products to the final consumer.
Noting high enthusiasm among the exhibitors, he said the exhibition displayed the right kind of equipment and machinery for the growing food and processing sector.
Commending the CII for rendering its support and helping hand in organizing these events, Mr Sinha said it permitted small scale units to look at standard as well as innovative products and encouraged manufacturers to innovate, create and thereby improve time and work efficiency.
