8 kg poppy husk seized, one held in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 14 (UNI) Police have arrested a person and seized eight kg poppy husk during routine checking of vehicles on Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Nagrota, about 13 km from here, official sources today said.

Police party during the checking of vehicles recovered contraband hidden under the driver's seat of a Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) coming from Srinagar, sources said.

The driver, identified as Muzaffar was arrested by police.

A case under NDPS Act was registered at Nagrota police station.
