Seminar on Advocacy for Children's Rights on Nov 15

Pune, Nov 13 (UNI) In a bid to spread awareness about child rights among the masses, a day-long state level seminar on 'Advocacy for Children's Rights' will be held at Panvel town, 22 kms from Mumbai, on November 15.

The event, expected to attract about 200 delegates from Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat, is being organised by Balgram, an Pune-based NGO working for children.

The seminar will deliberate on the role played by the government and NGOs in propagating awareness about child rights and try to come up with solutions for the related problems.

The seminar will also touch on issues related to child labour, orphans, street and handicapped children.
