Bangalore, Nov 13 (UNI) City based computer simulation technology company ProSIM Research and Development(R&D) Centre and Munich-based technology company INTEC entered into a tie-up to bring SIMPACK, a multibody state-of-the-art Simulation Dynamic Software Technology for India.
Speaking after announcing the collaboration, S Shamasundar, Managing Director ProSIM said SIMPACK was a simulation tool in which the entire vehicle model, including steering, engine, clutch, gear, wheel can be created and analysed for ride, handling, roll over, drive comfort, noise and other related mechanical devices.
Mr Shamasundar said by using SIMPACK a virtual model can be built and using the model, virtual testing can be conducted.
He said high-tech car manufacturers in the world have the application of SIMPACK, including BMW, Mercedes Benz and the technology was brought to Indian automotive industry through ProSIM.
The MD said SIMPACK will boost the service sector, especially Automotive segment, which not only reduces cost, time run and also helps to improve product quality. Statistical analysis can be done to testify safety, fuel efficiency, durability, drive and comfort of any vehicle, using SIMPACK. The high engineering technology can be used both at design stage and testing stage, he added.
He said ProSIM would distribute software and provide training.
