Paschim Express to halt at Ambala from today
Ambala, Nov 13 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja today flagged of Pashchim Express Train 2925 Amritsar-Bombay with its halt Ambala City railway station from today.
The train reached Ambala City at 1218 hrs and left at 1220 hrs with two minutes halt at the station.
The Minister said another train Amritsar-Delhi Superfast Express will have its halt at Ambala City.
She further said two other trains Ganganagar-Haridwar and Jalandhar-Delhi via Saharanpur have already started halting at Brara station for which the local people had been making demand.
Ms Selja said a number of other superfast trains including the Shatabadi trains will have their stay at Ambala City shortly on approval from the Railway Board.
The Union Minister said she had given a proposal of new rail line for Chandigarh via Naraingarh from Yamunanagar to the Railway Ministry.
In reply to a question, she noted that she would again seek election from Ambala Lok Sabaha seat in the coming election provided the party high command allotted the ticket to her.
