Pakistan to host SAARC interior/home ministers meeting
Islamabad, Nov 13 (UNI) Pakistan will host the third meeting of SAARC ministers of interior/home later this month to discuss measures to promote regional cooperation to deal with terrorism, narcotic and organised crime.
''Interior ministers of all the member states will attend the meeting, which will be preceded by official level meetings on November 24-26,'' Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Sadiq told mediapersons here today.
He said these meetings are expected to review the implementation of decisions taken at earlier meetings and discuss additional measures to promote cooperation to deal with the menace of terrorism, narcotic and organised crime.
Mr Sadiq added that a number of other subjects, including the SAARC visa exemption scheme, convention on mutual asistance in criminal matters, functioning of SAARC terrorist offences monitoring desk, SAARC drug offences monitoring desk and matters relating to combating corruption would also be discussed.
