Washington, Nov 13 : A woman whose son was killed in a road accident by a drunk cabaret dancer has brought charges against her, and blamed the establishment she was working at.

Mattie Jean Johnson blamed Rick's Cabaret for encouraging customers to buy drinks for the dancers, and then not providing the sometimes-inebriated women safe transport home.

"Those dancers, they can leave out of there drunk with no supervision," the Houston Chronicle quoted her as saying. According to a lawsuit Johnson filed against the popular strip club and the woman, the incident took place when the exotic dancer, who was drunk, drove her Honda CRV on the North Freeway feeder, killing Johnson's son.

A witness revealed to the police that Clinton Washington, 43, had been calling for help for a motorist whose sports utility vehicle had rolled over, when he was hit.

The woman, Micaela Liem, was charged with intoxicated manslaughter, and is out on bail.

"I'd seen it on the news that night, but I didn't believe it was him," 61-year-old Johnson revealed as she held a tissue and spoke about her son on November 11.

"Then my other son came to my house and told me ... " she added.

According to Johnson's lawsuit, the dancer's blood alcohol was .215, more than twice the legal limit for blood alcohol concentration.

Liem's lawyer, Jeremy Foltz, said that he had no comment on the case, and her case was scheduled to be taken to a Harris County grand jury within the next few weeks, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office revealed.

Rick's lawyer, Robert Axelrod, and spokesman Allan Priaulx both said that the company did not comment on ongoing litigation.

The police report of the incident indicates an SUV rolled over on the North Freeway about 2 a.m. and Washington was the second person to stop to help.
