Intervein Laboratories gets accreditation from CAP

Ahmedabad, Nov 13 (UNI) City-based Intervein Laboratories Private Limited has been accredited by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

The accreditation came after CAP inspected Laboratory's records and quality control procedures for the preceding two years. Staff qualifications, Laboratory's equipment, facilities, safety program and record and overall management were also considered, a release said here today.

Apart from laboratory services, Intervein also provide clinical trial services like data management, project management, site trainings and site support, logistics and archiving of samples and data, Intervein chief executive officer Devina Bhardwaj said in the release.

Intervein is an independent Central Laboratory catering services to only specimens from clinical trials, which is handled in a customized way by a dedicated GCP/GLP trained team. It does not analyse retail samples or samples from clinics.

The Company soon plans to extend its services into molecular diagnostics and imaging facilities thus making it a core lab for clinical trials, the release added.
