Engineer sent to jail in Bihar

Patna, Nov 13 (UNI) A local court today sent to jail executive engineer Ramayan Singh in connection with a bribery case.

Special vigilance judge Sunil Kumar Pawar remanded Mr Singh to jail till November 27, 2008 after he was produced before him in connection with a bribery case.

Earlier, Mr Singh was arrested by the state vigilance bureau when he was caught red-handed receiving Rs 2000 as bribe from a correspondent clerk of his department.

Mr Singh, an executive engineer of Sone canal division, had demanded bribe from clerk of his department to fix his salary.
