DBW threat disrupts train services in Tripura

Agartala, Nov 13 (UNI) The train services in Tripura was disrupted for the past two days following threats from a militant outfit Dimasa Black Widow (DBW) as the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) had suspended the movement of trains between Lumding and Badarpur Road.

Official sources here today said the NFR authority had suspended the train services of both passenger and goods between Lumding and Badarpur Road on Tuesday following the threat from the DBW ultras, which disrupted normal train movement in Tripura and South Assam.

The 5696 Agartala-Lumding Express left Agartala at 1315 hours with eight sleeper class coaches, while two general second class coaches and two SLRs started their journey yesterday, but all got stranded at Badarpur, sources said.

The 5695 Lumding Agartala was cancelled, sources added.
