Cong issues chargesheet against BJP Govt.

Bhopal, Nov 13 (UNI) The opposition Congress today issued a 139-point chargesheet against the BJP government mainly blaming it for rampant corruption and under-development and claimed the anti-incumbency factor would help Congress to return to power in Madhya Pradesh.

''Lokayukta investigation against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his 16 cabinet colleagues speaks volumes of rampant corruption and the Congress, if voted to power, will investigate into the corruption charges against BJP ministers and send them to jail if the charges were proved'', party's Madhya Pradesh incharge General Secretary V Narayansami told a news conference here.

''Several BJP ministers and their relatives were involved in rampant corruption siphoning off crores of rupees allotted for various schemes. On a rough estimate, one-third of the central assistance of Rs 12,000 crore during 2007-08 was gobbled up through corrupt means'', Mr Narayansami said.

The Congress leader said the Chief Minister would be renamed as ''Dumper Singh Chouhan'' for his alleged involvement in lease of land to Jaypee cement, Rewa and hiring out dumpers to the cement company. After the corrupt practice was exposed, the Chief Minister was adopting the escapist route of claiming ''inherent right of his family to do business as a means of livelihood'', he said.
