Chiranjeevi cannot do justice to the masses: AP CM

Guntur, Nov 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said when Praja Rajyam Party(PRP) founder-president Chiranjeevi could not even spend money for his native village, despite earning crores and crores of rupees from cinema, the actor-politician could not be relied on to protect the eight crore people of the State.

Addressing a gathering in a road-show meeting at Rentachintala, Dr Reddy said Chiranjeevi's recent statement that several changes would take place, if his party captured power would not impress the poor, downtrodden and toiling masses, as it would be well-nigh- impossible to alter several schemes initiated during his on-going tenure.

Referring to Telugu Desam Party(TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu's sops to the people, the Chief Minister alleged that during his nine-year tenure, Mr Naidu did not introduce any schemes for the welfare of the people and claimed that four-and-half years of Congress rule was a Golden-era for the State.

The Chief Minister's road show meeting would cover Macherla, Predakurapadiu, Gurazala and Sattenapalli Assembly constituencies in the district.
