68 students arrested for protesting against police inaction

Coimbatore, Nov 13 (UNI) As many as 68 Government Law College students were arrested here today following their agitation against police for not taking immediate action at Chennai after groups of students clashed at Dr Ambedkar Government Law College campus yesterday.

Police said earlier the students broke window panes, tables, doors and chairs kept in the class rooms.

A police team entered the college campus following a phone call from the Principal and restored normalcy.

The students were arrested, while they were taking out a procession from college campus to the main road, the police added.
