3 murderers get life term

Shivpuri, MP, Nov 13 (UNI) A local court has sentenced life term to a man and his two sons and imposed fine of Rs 5,000 each for murdering a man following a money-related dispute.

Prosecution said that Janved Chidar, his brother Dalu and nephew Sewakram were on their way to a forest to collect some thorny bushes when accused Chhotelal (45) and his son Sandip and Ummed intercepted their way with iron rode, lathi and axe in Bhatua village in Kolaras area on December 12, 2002.

The accused had a money-related dispute over installing a tubewell in a well with Dalu and later, the trio seriously injured the victim by wielding lath and rod.

On hearing Dalu's voice for help, some villagers rescued him but the accused were absconded till then. The injured was rushed to the hospital in Kolaras where he succumbed to his injuries.

First Additional Sessions Judge J S Chaturvedi delivered the verdict yesterday.
