PHD scholar commits suicide

Shimla, Nov 12 (UNI) A PHD Research Scholar at Central Potato Research Institute today allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with fan last night, police today said.

27-year-old Shruti took the extreme step when she was alone at her house and her parents were out to attend a marriage party in the town.

Police had recovered a suicide note from the spot in which she stated that no one should be held responsible for her act.
