Health and Family Welfare Deputy Director sent to jail

Patna, Nov 12 (UNI) A Special vigilance court today sent to jail the Deputy Director of Health and Family Welfare in connection with misuse of government funds.

Officers of the state vigilance bureau produced Deputy Director Sunil Kumar Pawar before the court after arresting him in connection with the case.

The court sent him to jail after taking him into judicial custody till November 21.

According to the charges, Mr Pawar had misappropriated Rs 30,000 after its unauthorised withdrawal from the treasury when he was the principal of the Government Pharmacy Institute in Patna in 2004.
