Cong nominee distributes notes
Korba, Chhattisgarh, Nov 12 (UNI) A police case has been registered against this district's Pali Tanakhar assembly constituency's Congress candidate Ramdayal Uike for allegedly tempting voters.
''A case was registered under the Representation of the People Act on a complaint by the Assistant District Returning Officer,'' said Superintendent of Police Ratanlal Dangi.
Official sources said images of Mr Uike distributing Rs 100 notes, while campaigning at Korbi and Amaldihan village on Monday, were captured in a video camera. A compact disc was received by District Returning Officer Ashok Agrawal today.
Earlier, a case was registered against Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Mahendra Karma -- of the Congress -- for distributing money among voters.
