Bhaskarachar appointed Deputy Chairman of Kandla Port Trust

Mangalore, Nov 11 (UNI) Mr MA Bhaskarachar has been promoted as Deputy Chairman of Kandla Port Trust by the central government.

According to a press release issued here by the New Mangalore Trust (NMPT) today, Mr Bhaskarachar, who was working as Deputy Chairman of NMPT, had assumed the charge on October 30. He was also given additional charges of Chairman.

The release added that prior to his present appointment, he had worked as Deputy Chairman NMPT for the past three years and Kolkata Port Trust for four years.

Mr Bhaskarachar joined the Port Sector as FA&CAO in New Mangalore Port Trust on May 3, 1993, and has gained immense experience in the port sector during his tenure in NMPT and Kolkata Port Trust, the release added.
