Assembly constituency to observe public holiday on polling day

Jammu, Nov 12 (UNI) A public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, will be observed in the territorial limits of Assembly constituencies on the days of polling for General Elections to the J&K Legislative Assembly 2008, an official spokesman today said.

''There will be a public holiday on the day of polling in territorial limits of Assembly Constituency,'' he said.

J&K is going for a seven-phased election to the State Legislative Assembly, starting November 17 and ending on December 24.
