Two militants killed in encounter

Imphal, Nov 11 (UNI) Two suspected militants were shot dead in an encounter by troops of 7 Assam Rifles at Wangoo, Bishenpur district today.

Police here said one of the slain ultras was suspected to be a senior member of a militant outfit.

The troops also recovered a 9 mm pistol and ammunition.

The bodies of the slain militants were sent to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences for post-mortem and identification.
