Re-post-mortem to Sreenu's body held amidst protests

Guntur, Nov 11 (UNI) Amid protests from the family members, the re-post-mortem was conducted on the body of Moddu Sreenu, the prime accused in the murder case to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader paritala Ravi, at the Government General Hospital here this evening.

Earlier, Sreenu's body was brought to the city from Challagundla village after Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy passed orders at Hyderabad yesterday to conduct re-post-mortem as demanded by Sreenu's wife and mother of Sreenu.

However, the re-post-mortem which started in the afternoon was stopped for sometime as the family members of Sreenu protested on not being allowed into the post-mortem room by officials, who said they would produce to them video clippings of the re-post-mortem, if they desired.

As the family members, including Sreenu's wife, mother Ramakotamma, relatives, and APCLC members not satisfied with the officials attitude, continued their protest before the hospital.

The doctors at the hospital completed the re-post-mortem and handed over the body to Sreenu's relatives.

It will be taken back to Challagundla for performing his last rites.

Meanwhile, doctors, who performed post-mortem to Sreenu's body reportedly announced that the report would be submitted within three days.
