Rupee opens low at 47.62 per US dollar

Mumbai, Nov 11: The rupee on Tuesday, Nov 11 opened weak at 47.62 against US dollar, down by 27 paise, from its last finish of 47.35 on fresh buying of dollars by foreign banks along with decline of Asian shares.

Later, it oscillated in a narrow range between 47.45 and 47.62 in the intra-day trade. Brokers said ''The rupee opened weaker today as a fall in Asian shares raised expectations of a dip in the local stock market and possible capital outflows.''
