Goods train derailed;Three suspended

Bhubaneswar, Nov 11 (UNI) East Coast Railways(ECoR) authorities today suspended three people for dereliction of duty following the derailment of a goods train at the Bhadrak railway station.

ECor sources here said the Bhadrak railway station Superintendent, the shunting man and the shunting zamadar were suspended after two of the 41 bogies of a cement-laden goods train went out of the track after hitting the dead end while on way to the yard to unload the cement.

The train was on its way from Baragarh in Western Orissa to Bhadrak.

Due to the mishap, the railway authorities had to unload the entire consignments from the goods train to keep the track free for movement of the train.
