Vasundhara Raje offers prayers at Tirumala temple
Tirumala, Nov 10 (UNI) To seek the blessings of the presiding deity for success in the ensuing Assembly elections slated on December 4, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje accompanied by BJP leaders offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara Swamy here tonight.
Mrs Raje, who arrived at Renigunta airport from Rajasthan by special flight, was welcomed at Alipiri by BJYM state leader Bhanuprakash Reddy and at Tirupati Town by BJP leaders MR Raja while she was proceeding to Tirumala hills.
On her arrival at the temple, she was received by TTD (Reception) Deputy Executive Officer Venkataiah and after darshan, she was presented Sri Vari photo and prasadams at Ranganayukala mandapam inside the temple by TTD officials.
However, the BJP had yesterday released a list of 95 candidates including Chief Minister Raje, who will contest from Jhalrapatan, the constituency from which she won in the last elections for the Rajasthan Assembly polls.
After night halt at hill atop, Mrs Raje will again participate in the morning sevas and later she will leave for Rajasthan.
During her visit, police have made tight security in and around the Tirumala temple .
