Two killed in road mishap in Alappuzha

Alappuzha, Nov 10 (UNI) Two people, including a six-year-old boy, were killed and 30 injured when a private passenger bus overturned after hitting a car on NH-47 at Kalarkod near here today.

The deceased were identified as bus driver Harris (28) and a passenger Davis (six).

The two were rushed to the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital along with the other injured but succumbed to their injuries there.

The accident occurred around 0930 hrs when the bus, running from Kalarkod to Alappuzha town, hit a car and overturned.

Nobody in the car was injured, police said.

More than 50 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time.
