National School Games to be held in Gurdaspur

Chandigarh, Nov 10 (UNI) The 3rd National Inter-School Tournament (Group II) will be held at Gurdaspur from December 24 to 27, Punjab Sports Director Pargat Singh said today.

Competitions will be conducted in football (boys and girls), table tennis (boys and girls), volleyball (boys and girls), weightlifting (boys--50 kg, 56 kg, 62 kg, 69 kg, 77 kg, 84 kg, 95 kg and +95 kg and girls--44 kg, 48 kg, 53 kg, 58 kg, 63 kg, 69 kg,+69 kg), wrestling (boys 29-32 kg, 35 kg, 38 kg, 42 kg, 47 kg, 53 kg, 59 kg, 66 kg, 73-85 kg) and girls (28-30 kg, 32 kg, 34 kg, 37 kg, 40 kg, 44 kg, 48 kg 52 kg, 57-62 kg).

Players below the age of 16 years on December 31, 2008 are eligible to take part in the competitons.
