Maoists attack Reliance tower in Bihar
Jehanabad, Nov 10 (UNI) A group of Maoists attacked the tower of a mobile phone of a private cellular company and set it ablaze at Rampur village under Karpi police station in Arwal district late last night, police said today.
They said nearly 20 Maoists with firearms attacked the site of Reliance company and took the guard and the operator under their captivity. The extremists tied their hands and feet and dumped them in the nearby panchayat building.
They sprinkled kerosene oil in the airconditioned room of the tower and set it ablaze. The entire room and the appliances kept there were reduced to ashes.
While fleeing, the Maoists shouted pro-Naxal slogans.
An FIR had been lodged on the basis of the statement of the guard and the operator against the Maoists.
Raids were on to nab the extremists.
