Laha Gopalan gets Mukundan C Menon award
Kozhikode, Nov 10 (UNI) Activist Laha Gopalan has been chosen for the third Mukundan C Menon award instituted by the Confederation of Human Rights Organisations (CHRO).
He has been selected for the award for his inspiring leadership to the Chengara land movement spearheaded by ''Sadhujana Vimochana Samyukthavedi'' for the last one-and-a-half years, award jury told reporters here today.
The award, carrying a purse of Rs 10,000 and citation, would be presented to him on December ten, the International Human Rights Day.
