HP bags national award for implementing HIMSWAN project
Shimla, Nov 10 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh has been conferred the National Award for the 'Most Progressive State in IT Administration' in the country by the India Tech Foundation for implementation of the HIMSWAN project in the state effectively.
The National Award Trophy was received by IT Secretary BK Aggarwal, recently, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said here today.
The Chief Minister claimed that Himachal Pradesh was the first state for having successfully implemented HIMSWAN Project in the country providing connectivity to over 450 offices across the state.
He said that the IT department of the state had targetted to bring 2,500 offices across the state under the operational activities of the HIMSWAN Project.
