GJM to prevent IGP (North Bengal) from entering Darjeeling
Darjeeling, Nov 10 (UNI) The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) today threatened that it would not allow Inspector General of Police(North Bengal) K L Tamta to enter Darjeeling from tomorrow.
GJM Central Committee member Bimal Gurung here said, '' We wil prevent the IGP from entering Darjeeling from tomorrow. '' He also said they would sit on 48-hour relay hunger strike from tomorrow in the three sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Dooars in Jalpaiguri district for the realisation of a separate state of Gorkhaland.
The GJM had already embarked upon indoctrinating the students from the hills regarding their demand and reiterated that they would achieve their goal by 2010.
